Delphine Sion

Explorer of materials and colors

With the kind collaboration of Delphine Sion

Meet Delphine Sion and you will be swept away by a whirlwind of colors. Self-taught, Delphine practiced several professions before evolving into that of visual artist. For a few years she was in the United Kingdom, creating porcelain before retraining in Paris as an interior designer.

At first glance, let yourself be seduced by the dialogue of colors of her creations and by the emotion that emerges from them. It is simple, cheerful, warm. Take your time then approach.

Her works look like textile creations.

We are deceived. Did you say weaving, braiding, warp thread, weft thread?

In reality, she uses materials that she diverts with a more particular attraction for paper originally used for packaging and different cardboard supports.

The artist is waiting for you. She likes to observe your reaction and only waits for an opportunity to engage in dialogue, to provoke this meeting, an essential driving force for her work. Delphine is warm, like her paintings, and welcomes you with a broad smile to talk to you about her art, on which she is inexhaustible.

Both absorbent and enveloping, these materials on which she works take on a form of sensuality, like fabric.

Combined with color, they lose their primary function and become works of art magnified by color.

Through her colorful paintings, the artist is keen to bring out all the symbolism that weaving can express, this transmission made from generation to generation, from woman to woman, this know-how, this feminine side, this link so necessary to each human being.

As for the color that is essential to her, a reflection of our emotions of the moment, the artist lets herself be guided by it.

"Art should do us good"

Always searching and very inspired, the artist that is Delphine is currently working on new creations from fiberglass paper that will not fail to bring joy to our hearts.
